FICON 2019, the Iberian Construction Fair, will host on November the 7th the presentation “HOUSEENVEST and INNOINVEST Projects in the field of energy rehabilitation and innovation in energy materials for building”, where the projects will be presented to professionals in the sector. HousEEnvest aims to provide a customized financing system for the rehabilitation of residential buildings in Extremadura.

HousEEnvest’s main objective is the creation of a new financing model for the energy rehabilitation of multi-family houses in Extremadura. Thanks to an innovative financing scheme, improvements in the energy efficiency of housing blocks are sought, with a model that is replicable in other cities in Spain and Europe.

The project is currently in the phase of carrying out energy studies in different condominiums, carried out in collaboration with Junta de Extremadura (the Regional Government) to know the feasibility of implementing the improvements.
Soon, a Guarantee Fund for the renovation of multifamily buildings in Extremadura will be launched, which will have a combination of innovative tools for standardization, risk pooling and risk elimination system that will give security to financial institutions and communities of owners.

This event means a greater visibility of the advances that the region is making in the energy improvement of public and private buildings, promoting energy sustainability and boosting the decarbonization of rural and urban areas in Extremadura.

HousEEnvest has 9 partners representing all the key actors that are necessary for the implementation of the project: regional government policy makers, public financial companies, associations of owners, the construction sector and companies with technical, legal and economic expertise.
