The lack of qualified professionals in the construction sector will mark the new edition of FICON that starts this Thursday, November 7. “It has been detected that it is an important problem of the whole sector, there is a lack of skilled workforce and that is the reason why this issue is so relevant in the forum we are undertaking,” said Francisco Javier González, president of the organizing committee, in the presentation of the event.

“All those who were good officers have been retired or have been moved on to other sectors,” Gonzalez added. Thus, the first block of the forum is dedicated to the formation of the construction sector with presentations on vocational training and the boost of the employment, another specific on the need for qualified professionals and another related to the new paths for the employment of young people from University.

The exhibition will be opened by the Minister of Mobility, Transport and Housing of the Junta de Extremadura, Leire Iglesias. Once again, the organizing committee has also prepared an extensive program of activities for all audiences.

The event will have a total of 5,800 square meters in which the presence of exhibiting companies is increased in relation to 2017, where a total of 62 were present. This edition will host the exhibition of 73 companies.
